The basic meaning of 有 is "have"; "to have" or "having" (possessing).
For Example:
我有一個哥哥 wǒ yǒu yí gè gē ge = I have a brother
他有兩本書 tā yǒu liǎng běn shū = he has two books
他們有三輛車 tā men yǒu sān liàng chē = they have three cars
Subject + 有 + number (if you want to mention how many do you have) + measure word / classifier for certain object + the object.
(S + 有 + Nmb + Cls + O)
or you can omit the number and classifier for simple sentence:
我有哥哥 wǒ yǒu gē ge = I have brother
他有書 tā yǒu shū = he has book
他們有車 tā men yǒu chē = they have car
When we want to negate, we don't use 不 bù, but 沒 méi.
So we cannot say
我不有哥哥 wǒ bù yǒu gē ge
We should say
我沒有哥哥 wǒ méi yǒu gē ge = I don't have older brother
Additional
When we want to mention how many things we have, do not forget to mention the classifier or measure word after the number, (Formula: number + classifier / m.w. + object). For example:
一本雜誌 yì běn zá zhì = a magazine
一台電腦 yì tái diàn nǎo = a computer
一條路 yì tiáo lù = a road
兩個人 liǎng gè rén = two people
三個漢堡 sān gè hàn bǎo = three hamburger
五條鳥 wǔ tiáo niǎo = five birds
六位老師 liù wèi lǎo shī = six teachers
